Client: Iarnród Éireann Project
Value: €20 million in construction with a further €10 million in development

This scheme is part of Iarnród Éireann’s programme for improvement of railway safety across the country and involves the design of roads and bridges, farm accesses and CCTV implementation at crossings to be retained. It includes overbridges / underbridges to replace approximately 180 level crossings as a remedial safety measure.

Roughan & O’Donovan has undertaken the design of bridges and roadworks for a large number of these crossings and is currently in the design process for a further tranche of projects.
