From small beginnings in 1974, Roughan & O'Donovan has grown and today we are a large team of highly qualified engineers providing you with access to a wide range of skills and experience.  We have always maintained a multi-disciplinary approach offering clients a high degree of flexibility. The highest calibre of staff has been drawn to our reputation of innovative design, a diverse range of projects and our track record of excellence in design.

We employ a high percentage of PhD qualified staff, particularly in our Bridges and Building Groups, and because of this we are able to continually assess and utilise the latest research developments. We maintain strong relationships with research organisations including Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.

To maintain our high level of skills and motivation, we seek out and win many commissions including the preparation of 'The Design Manual for Roads and Bridges' for use in Ireland and the Euro Codes adaption in Ireland.

Our directors are leaders in their respective fields and collectively have helped deliver a significant part of the infrastructure development in Ireland.
