Increasingly, clients are looking to utilise modern asset management planning techniques to allow them to minimise the whole-life cost of their roads, bridge, water and wastewater infrastructure. While this is a comparatively new area in Ireland, Roughan & O’Donovan has developed its capabilities and because of our leading technical knowledge we are now providing asset management advice to a number of clients.

Our experience includes the preparation of long term operations and maintenance plans for major motorway and bridge schemes, and we routinely undertake inspections and advise PPP consortia in optimising the management of their infrastructure. We have significant experience in undertaking asset inspections and collating asset data and subsequently developing maintenance strategies for clients including the NRA. We also provide advice to clients on the procurement of long term maintenance contracts and assist them in the development of appropriate contract documentation. Our skills include strategic review, gap analysis, asset inventory inspections, supervision of data collection, asset condition assessment, development of asset management plans and the preparation of operations and maintenance plans.
